For seven decades, the Sinfonie Orchester Berlin has been presenting the best-known masterpieces of the orchestral repertoire at the Berlin Philharmonie under the motto “Classical music for everyone”. Founded as a private initiative by Prof. Victor Hohenfels and Eva-Maria Hohenfels, the orchestra has since welcomed more than three and a half million guests from Berlin and around the world. In 2027 it celebrates its 70th anniversary.
Since the 2025/26 season, Andreas Wittmann, a member of the Berlin Philharmonic, has been the orchestra’s principal conductor. Members of the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic regularly appear as soloists and conductors. The orchestra brings together experienced top musicians and young, up-and-coming talent.
Since 2026, the Sinfonie Orchester Berlin has been managed by MACC Management GmbH under director Dr. Majid Montazer. Shared goals include international tours and high-quality CD productions.
High-resolution press photos of the orchestra, the principal conductor and the soloists are available on request. Please write to sm@ma-cc.com.
